PADI Rescue Diver Course
Most of the PADI courses are about looking after yourself and checking on your buddy. With the PADI Rescue Diver Course you are taking your first steps in not just looking after people, but been able to assist, reassure and prevent scuba diving incidents before they happen.
Many divers have said that the PADI Rescue Diver Course is the best and most rewarding PADI course they have done. Whether it be because they feel safer, more in control or just simply have a better understanding of risk management when scuba diving. Take a step towards becoming a more responsible scuba diver and take your PADI Rescue Diver course in the tropical waters near Bang Tao Beach.
As part of the PADI Rescue Diver course with Paradise Diving Plus, we will go over your current First Aid training (PADI EFR course) and put it into practical use when scuba diving. The PADI Rescue Diver course has some specific requirements:
* You must be at least 12 years of age
* Be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or similar
* And hold a current, (i.e. no more than 2 years old) CPR Primary Care and Basic First Aid Secondary Care qualification. If you do not have such a First Aid qualification then we can combine the PADI Emergency First Response course with your PADI Rescue Diver course
During your PADI Rescue Diver course, you will need to complete the following:
* Complete your pre-study. This includes reading the PADI Manual and completing the Knowledge Reviews at the end of each chapter, watching a DVD and a multiple choice final exam.
* Complete ten (10) exercises in confined water/swimming pool
* Complete four (4) rescue scenarios in the ocean.
The confined water/pool elements of the PADI Rescue Diver course will take place either in a local designated pool or in a confined water area at Bang Tao Beach.
The PADI Rescue Diver Course
“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur.
The Fun Part
The fun part about this course is rising to challenges and mastering them. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end, say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken.
